Magnificent golfing weather encouraged a good number of Ladies to play in the Nutrimetics Stableford on Wednesday.
All competitors’ scores were in the 30’s making a very close competition however a fantastic round from Kylie Grundy had her first taste of loosing handicap and winning the B Grade.
A Grade winner with a mighty fine 39 points was Michelle Justin, runner/up Jacki Baker 34 and Petrina Smith with 33 points.
As mentioned earlier Kylie Grundy was the B Grade winner with 38 points. Kylie is into her 2nd year and hits a beautiful ball,so it’s no surprise her handicap is now decreasing. Runner/up on a count back with 33 points was young gun Carly Graetz who was taking advantage of the school holidays with a round of golf, the count back was from Helen Seears.
9 Hole winner was Penny Bruce and runner/up Kerry Gilkes.
NTP 3rd and the 16th was Sharon Menz and Patrina Smith on the 12th.
Congratulations to our Premiership winning Div 3 Pennant team defeating Beachport in a close 3/2 on Tuesday. Patrina Smith and Julie Wilks were the ‘experience’ in the team with new to pennant players Yvonne Mitchell, Megan Watson and Annie Haynes. Well done girls and special mention to the fill-ins that helped along the way.
Next week will be a stroke round and Monthly Medal sponsored by ‘The Gentle Touch’ Kev and Leanne Graetz. It will also be 1st qualifying round of the Club Championships and 2rd round International Bowl. A big day on the Ladies golfing calendar and this will be followed by the usual luncheon.
